TMDK’s Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson Declare For 2026 NJPW World Tag League

Tuesday’s NJPW Power Struggle 2026 event in Hiroshima, Japan featured TMDK (Hartley Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa) defeating The Swirl (Blake Christian & Lee Johnson) in a tag team match. Following the match, MJF made a video appearance and issued an official challenge to Oiwa for a match at Wrestle Kingdom 21, which Oiwa accepted.

Following the match, Jackson and Oiwa gave comments backstage to the press and officially declared themselves for this year’s NJPW World Tag League tournament, which takes place from November 23 to December 13 in Japan.

Hartley Jackson – “Actually, competing in New Japan’s ‘WORLD TAG LEAGUE’ has always been my dream. I want to enter it with you.”

Ryohei Oiwa – “Got it. Hartley and I will enter the tag league. Last year, Zack and I won it, and the year before that, I won NOAH’s tag team with Kiyomiya.”

Jackson also reflected on Twitter about him teaming up with Oiwa for this year’s World Tag League tournament.

“When I started wrestling, I was 19 years old. Little Jag. Looking back, I had no idea what this business was going to take from me, how much it would demand, or how much of my life I would give to it.

Now I’m 46.

I’ve got the pain, Ive got the injuries, I’ve got the scars. I’ve got my body that reminds me every single day that I’ve been doing this for a very long time.

Maybe my body isn’t what it used to be… but that doesn’t mean the fire is gone.

27 years later, Big Jag, I still have something left to prove!

It’s time for the WORLD TAG LEAUGE with ROY!

Lets go 👊👊
