Following complaints filed last year by State Democrats claiming that WWE illegally helped Linda McMahon by holding a ‘Fan Appreciation Day’, doing a ‘Stand Up for WWE’ campaign, and taping a commercial for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Federal Election Commission has made a ruling. By a vote of 6-0, they voted that there was no wrong doing in regards to WWE trying to help Linda McMahon win her senate race. This ruling was completed back in August, but just no released to the public. They did find that WWE violated the law with the Make-A-Wish commercial, in which she appeared for two seconds, but chose to dismiss it as a “a matter of prosecutorial discretion”.
