Dave “Fit” Finlay told the UK Sun that he recently turned down an offer from TNA. Finlay stated that the two sides could not come to an agreement on financial terms. Finlay also noted that he had been in the business long enough to know not to “sell yourself short.” He said: “At one time or another they all got in touch and I listened but the offers weren’t right,” he said. “They weren’t enough – it’s not like it’s my first day in the business. I’ve been doing this for 37 years now and one thing I know is that you can’t sell yourself cheap.”
When asked about a WWE return, he said:
“I don’t know if I’ll be back – I hope so,” Finlay said. “I’ve got lots of friends there; John Laurinaitis is a good friend of mine.
“I do love the WWE scene and miss it tremendously but I’m not going to curl into a ball about not being there, you’ve just got to get on with it. There are no hard feelings about my release – I take responsibility for what happened.”
