— Independent wrestlers Vik Dalishus will face Hale Collins at this Friday’s Impact Wrestling World Tour event at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, which starts at 7:30 p.m. The match will serve as a tryout for TNA Wrestling.
Dalishus, whose real name is Rob Begley, has had televised and non-televised matches for WWE in the past, and he and his former tag team partner were in constant contact with TNA for years, trying to get a look from the company.
Begley tells PoughkeepsieJournal.com, “If I’ve ever been on my game to go out and kick (butt), this is going to be it. I don’t think the things I did with WWE were my best shot. I am going to give it my best shot and if I have to walk away, I will walk away with no regrets.”
— Colors has released the first promotional advertisement for Ring Ka King, TNA Wrestling’s satellite promotion from India. The program debuts on the network the weekend of January 14, 2012. TNA Wrestling produced the first 13 episodes of the series last week.
