Fans were reportedly raving about Chris Jericho’s promo work Friday night in LA. Jericho, who lived and worked in Mexico for several years, spoke in Spanish to what was a heavily Hispanic audience. A fan had thrown toilet paper at him at one point, which he worked into his promo.
Brodus Clay returned to action at Friday night’s RAW live event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. He defeated David Otunga. There are conflicting reports on the Clay match as he may have just had one of his dancing Divas with him – Ariane Andrew.
“Ryback” Skip Sheffield was also in action, defeating Alex Riley in a squash match.
Eve Torres, who was advertised to face Beth Phoenix, appeared to just cut a promo on her situation with Zack Ryder. Phoenix ended up defending the Divas Title against Eve Torres.
In other notable news from the LA show, WWE Champion CM Punk beat Dolph Ziggler in the main event that had Chris Jericho at ringside as the special enforcer. During the match, there was a loud “Chris Brown sucks” chant. Jericho was put in the match by David Otunga. Earlier in the night, Jericho defeated Kofi Kingston. After his win, Jericho cut a heel promo on the Los Angeles fans and had toilet paper thrown at him. (See Above).
