— WWE officials have been impressed with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan’s recent matches. There are now plans to have Daniel Bryan travel with the RAW brand and continue wrestling Punk at house shows. There is also talk of adding a “submission” stipulation to upcoming matches between the two.
— WWE feels John Cena is a difference maker to attracting larger crowds. Ticket sales for SmackDown haven’t been selling so great, which is why Cena is booked for all the SmackDown tapings in the foreseeable future. CM Punk and Triple H are also being advertised for a few SmackDown shows as well. The loss of Randy Orton for the next 60 days (wellness policy suspension) is also a huge loss for SmackDown.
— Shane McMahon’s company went public yesterday. McMahon’s YOU On Demand began public trading on the NASDAQ on Wednesday. The company has a twenty year contract to run VOD services for China, which is likely to make the company appealing to investors.
