Vince and Linda McMahon will pay back creditors who were not reimbursed when the two filed for bankruptcy in 1976. The news was raised as an issue against Linda in her Senate race and Linda has announced that they will pay back the twenty-nine creditors, saying that she didn’t see the list for almost thirty-six years until the details were released this week.
Linda said in a statement, “Over the past two days, Vince and I have begun attempts to locate and reach out to all individuals on the creditor list. It is our intention to reimburse all private individual creditors that can be located. We feel it is the right thing to do to pay them in full, including an adjustment for inflation at four times the initial amount as shown on the list of creditors.”
