Gawker has sent out a statement, announcing that while they are removing the video of the Hulk Hogan-Heather Clem sex tape (as they were ordered by a judge this week) they will not adhere to the entire ruling. They have stated that they will not remove the written recap of the sex tape, because they feel that the report is covered under free speech and that they will defend that decision.
Gawker says that the judge’s language during the hearing made it clear only the tape was to be removed, but the language of the order listed all the articles. Gawker is also going to appeal the ruling requiring them to remove the video.
