For those who didn’t see the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday night, Damien Sandow and Randy Orton won the WWE and World Title Money in the Bank matches.
In the opening match, Sandow won the briefcase after turning on his tag-team partner Cody Rhodes. Cody was about to win the match when Sandow came up from behind and took him out. There are rumors that Rhodes will be turning babyface after the response he received from the hot Philadelphia crowd.
For what it’s worth, we can confirm that neither of those names winning the ladder matches were even mentioned in creative meetings at last week’s TV tapings. This goes to show you how often and quickly things change in WWE. This also changes several of the top matches at SummerSlam.
We’ll have more on this shortly.
