Dusty Rhodes Claims He Inspired The Rock & More

Dusty Rhodes tweeted the following today:

@WWE If the dots were all that matter then I wasted 44 years , where would The Rock be and many others . Statement made !

Rhodes is referring to the polka dots he wrote during his WWE run in the early 1990s. The ring attire was considered an inside joke by Vince McMahon to Rhodes as Rhodes competed against the WWE for so long in the original NWA. The statement about The Rock was apparently mentioning his “bionic elbow” being compared to The Rock’s “People’s Elbow”.

A fan later replied: “The ‘People’s Elbow’ [was] inspired by ‘The American Dream’ brotha!”

Rhodes said that statement was “so true”.
