“Sin Cara” returned last night on RAW, but it wasn’t the former Mexican superstar Mistico playing him as we noted late last night here on the website. Hunico (who portrayed Sin Cara previously as well as Mistico in Mexico) worked under the mask last night.
The company has not been happy with Mistico’s work since being signed, and word is that Mistico doesn’t expect to be re-signed when his contract is up. Sin Cara’s merchandise is still selling well, and reportedly sold very well on the recent European tour.
At this time, the feeling is that the WWE has decided to keep the gimmick, but change performers going forward.
Stay tuned as we hear more.
