Brock Lesnar-UFC Update – New Fight Date Revealed?

As noted earlier here on the website, Brock Lesnar has been forced to withdraw from his upcoming UFC Heavyweight Championship defense against Shane Carwin at UFC 106. The report states that Lesnar has been ill with the flu for 3 1/2 weeks and has been unable to train. With the fight less than a month away, Lesnar has decided to pull out.

According to UFC President Dana White, Lesnar stated that he’s “never been this sick in his life.”

The company is scrambling to determine what to do with the card. UFC 106 is slated to feature a co-main event of Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin, and there’s speculation that the fight may be moved to main event status.

UPDATE: According to Carwin’s Twitter, the fight has been moved to UFC 108 on January 2nd in Las Vegas, NV. Carwin tweeted: “I just heard from Jason. Looks like it is posponed till Jan 2. I had h1ni myself and I understand how devastaing it can be.”
