Ryu Nakata, who handled business affairs and worked on dealings with Americans for Pro Wrestling NOAH passed away on February 15th. He was 51. Following the death of Mitsuharu Misawa, Nakata ran the company, serving as general manager until 2012.
Nakata started as Shohei Baba’s personal driver and then worked as a ring announcer for All Japan Pro Wrestling before leaving the company is 2000 when NOAH formed.
