AMC has announced via press release, amidst other options for the upcoming season, that they have picked up an option on a reality show for Billy Corgan and Resistance Pro Wrestling. The as-yet-unnamed series has the following synopsis:
“Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan pulls back the curtains on the pro-wrestling world as he takes over creative direction for the independent wrestling company Resistance Pro.”
The series is something Corgan and AMC have been in talks for over the last year.
