Backstage Update – Eric Young’s Title Win & Plans

The plan for the TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view on April 27th is for Eric Young will wrestle Magnus in a rematch for the TNA title in the main event of the show. Also Bully Ray vs. Bobby Roode is scheduled for that show in what looks to be a tables match.

Based on TV it looks like Kurt Angle and Willow will face Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud. Angle came back at the last TV tapings. That will air on this tonight’s show. Madison Rayne will defend the Knockouts title against Angelina Love. My guess is there will be a title switch here to get heat on Angelina. Also, The Bro Mans face The Wolves in a tag team title match. Seiya Sanada fases Tigre Uno in the last match of the best of three series. Also, it looks like they’ll do Gunner vs. James Storm and probably a match between Samuel Shaw and Ken Anderson. The way it it’s being built looks like it’ll be an ambulance match.

For what it’s worth, TNA copied WWE’s Daniel Bryan WrestleMania scenario, right down to the injured shoulder, using the guy with the beard, winning a match, coming back later and taking the title. This is another example of both companies taking ideas from each other which has taken place for years now.
