As noted earlier, WWE has made a switch in terms of their plans for Randy Orton. It was previously reported that Randy Orton was being primed for a face turn in the months following WrestleMania and that he was set up via merchandise plans for such a turn. That is no longer the case and the company is looking at (in order) John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Sheamus as their top babyfaces. This was the plan as of a little more than a week ago and the last internal list actually had Cena, then Bryan and then Orton, Batista, Reigns and Sheamus. Obviously though with Sheamus’ US Title win, his plans may have changed as well and it appears he’ll be turning heel in the near future. (In other words: everything has changed. Business as usual.)
The company appears to be set to continue The Shield’s push as a group with Roman Reigns getting a singles push, while they are high on the idea of Cesaro as a babyface within the next few months.
