There are many in the TV industry who believe WWE has already reached a new deal with NBC Universal on TV rights. The source indicates that they might be waiting with the announcement until the upcoming cable upfronts. As previously reported, the cable upfronts are scheduled for Thursday, May 15 in New York City. Currently, no WWE Superstars are scheduled to appear as they will be overseas on a long European tour.
Previously WWE personalities appeared at the separate upfronts for different NBC Universal-owned networks showing WWE programming (ie. USA Network, SyFy, and E!). This year, NBC Universal will be putting on one, single presentation.
