The Florida State Boxing Commission has officially approved the proposed fight between Bobby Lashley (4-0 MMA, 0-0 SF) and Jimmy Ambriz (14-12-1 MMA, 0-0 SF), but sources close to the event say it’s not likely to happen and that Strikeforce officials may be looking for alternative options for Lashley.
Ambriz is a nine-year MMA vet who had previously wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling. Strikeforce’s event takes place January 31.
