Kofi Kingston may have suffered a knee injury during Wednesday’s house show for the Smackdown brand, according to reports from the event in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Kingston reportedly injured his knee during a tag team match of The New Day versus Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. The injury occurred from a missed crossbody spot resulting in Kingston landing awkwardly on his knee. He was able to finish the match but was seen limping around till its conclusion. After the match, Kingston required medical assistance to help walk to the backstage.
While the severity of the injury is unknown at the moment, this would be the second time Kingston has been injured within the past six months. Besides Kingston, The New Day is also dealing with Xavier Woods being out with a knee injury he suffered in late August.
