Strikeforce announced today that Bobby Lashley is out of his Strikeforce: Los Angeles fight against Ron Sparks with a knee injury.
In place of that fight Strikeforce has scheduled a Middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy and Trevor Prangley. Kennedy is on a three fight win streak since losing to Jason Miller in December 2007. He last defeated Zak Cummings by submission at ShoMMA 3. UFC veteran Prangley was on a five fight win streak until he went to a No Contest against Karl Amoussou at ShoMMA 5. That fight was stopped in the first round when Amoussou elected not to continue after suffering a finger to the eye.
Strikeforce: Los Angeles is set for June 16 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The main card will air live on Showtime.
MAIN CARD:
* Robbie Lawler vs. Renato “Babalu” Sobral (195-pound catchweight fight)
* Tim Kennedy vs. Trevor Prangley
* Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos vs. Marius Zaramoskis
* Shane Del Rosario vs. Lolohea Mahe
