Following their article on Kurt Angle pulling out of the Olympic trials, the New York Times has issued the below correction for naming Angle a “WWE wrestler.”
“An Associated Press report in the Sports Briefing column on April 13 about the withdrawal of Kurt Angle, a 1996 Olympic wrestling gold medalist, from the United States Olympic trials included an outdated reference to his professional affiliation. He works for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling; he is no longer with World Wrestling Entertainment. The error was repeated in the headline.”
