— Nancy O’Dell from Entertainment Tonight recently spoke to Monday Night Mayhem regarding WWE’s involvement in supporting the MDA. She said:
“They (the WWE) are always so great in saying ‘What can we do to support you?’ Ironically, ever since that year I talked to you guys (in 2009), they have been involved with MDA ever since,” said O’Dell. “They have been there to support and help out with social media. The great thing is that they didn’t only do it one year. As soon as they got on board, they continued doing it for the years after. We are always looking to do something. They’ve asked me to come out for SummerSlam and promote Betty’s Battle.”
— SLAM! Wrestling recently did an interview with Rob Van Dam where he talked about the the current backstage WWE locker-room vibe.
“The locker room is a different vibe, it’s a more positive vibe, guys are not afraid for their position like they used to be,” RVD said. “At the end (of his first run with WWE) it was really miserable. Plus, I have more leverage now. I have more seniority with guys like Rock, Hogan, Flair, DX gone. It’s different how I’m being treated. I’m in a different point in my life. The travelling is not as hard as it was. I’m enjoying it now. We just had an 18-day tour and I was kind of apprehending that tour, but it wasn’t like that at all, it was a pleasure and I enjoyed it a lot.”
