— As noted earlier, prior to the WWE Main Event tapings in Buffalo, New York on Tuesday night, Xavier Woods defeated Damien Sandow with a head kick. After the WWE Main Event but prior to the WWE SmackDown tapings, Alberto Del Rio defeated R-Truth after Truth tapped out.
— For those who may have missed it, WWE Hall Of Famer Bobby “The Brain” Heenan suffered a broken shoulder after taking a bad fall out of bed on April 24th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Heenan was in town with his family for a wedding, but ended up missing the wedding as he spent the day in the hospital due to the injury.
Heenan, who despite his declining health over the years, has reportedly been in good spirits lately. His bones are considered weak and brittle after the many cancer treatments he has received over the years, which makes such an injury easier for him to suffer.
— As previously reported, WWE announced that Hulk Hogan has been added to the company’s upcoming tour of Japan. One of the reasons that people speculated as to why Hogan was added was to help boost slow ticket sales, as WWE’s recent popularity in Japan has declined.
Apparently the move helped, as when the Hogan announcement was made and word got out about it in Japan, there was indeed a big rush on ticket sales for the events.
The shows Hogan will be a part of, which take place on July 11th and July 12th in Tokyo, Japan, will mark Hogan’s first time appearing on a Japanese wrestling show in over ten years.
