There seems to be some confusion as to what the rules are of the “flag match” between Rusev and Jack Swagger at this Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
According to WWE.com, the rules are simple, in that the person who captures the opponent’s flag wins. On RAW last night, however, JBL made reference to the fact that Rusev might tap out to Swagger during the flag match on Sunday, which wouldn’t be possible based on the rules.
To complicate things even further, one WWE source who had not read the rules on WWE.com claimed that he was of the understanding that whoever scores a pin or submission in the match wins and has their National Anthem played.
