As we reported two weeks ago, it looks as though Bellator MMA is in negotiations with former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio (Jose Rodriguez).
Bellator President Scott Coker recently confirmed that the promotion has been talking with the pro wrestler who in the MMA world, is most famous for suffering a head-kick knockout loss to Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic while wearing his Mexican wrestling mask during a fight in PRIDE Bushido.
“I think that we did reach out,” Coker said. “I’m not sure where that is and by no means is it in the 11th hour, but I know there’s some dialogue going on.”
Coker continued, “He’s had a lot of great MMA fights and I just think that would be a fun time to see him fight some of the guys we have on our roster.”
