As noted last week, Chael Sonnen announced during a TSN “Off The Record” appearance that he was formally invited by WWE to appear at this year’s WrestleMania event. While WWE has publicly denied these claims, apparently there is smoke to this fire.
Sonnen will, in fact, be attending the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony this year, as well as the WrestleMania 31 event, both of which take place in March, as he is scheduled to have an unofficial meeting with WWE executive Kevin Dunn.
The former UFC title contender is rumored to be meeting the WWE executive, which was set up by Gerald Brisco, WWE’s amateur wrestling talent scout who knows Sonnen personally, about a potential role as a television announcer for the company.
