— According to Variety, The Rock is in talks to star in a remake of the classic 1980s movie, “Big Trouble In Little China.” The Rock would likely be playing the lead role of truck-driver Jack Burton, originally played by actor Kurt Russell. Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are writing the script, while The Rock and his production company partners Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producing the movie through their 7 Bucks Entertainment company.

— Part-time WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has landed a role in the upcoming TV movie Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
Jericho, who is returning to WWE this summer for a series of live event appearances, will play the character of Bruce, a roller coaster attendant.
The official synopsis for Sharknado 3 reads:
Run like the wind! Hide where you can! The Sharknado is back and this time, the entire east coast is in the eye of the storm. Shearing winds of teeth and death will ravage the Eastern Seabord from Washington D.C. all the way down to Orlando, Florida. It’s up to Fin, April, David Hasselhoff, and a horde of celebrity cameos to save the entire country!
Sharknado 3 premieres on Tuesday, July 22nd on Syfy.
