WWE is currently planning to present live quarterly specials on the WWE Network in 2016, such as the Elimination Chamber, King Of The Ring, or the upcoming live special from Japan on July 4th.
An additional idea in the company is for WWE to make the Slammy Awards a standalone event as opposed to an episode of RAW. The idea would be to air the special on the WWE Network and have it be similar to the annual WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony, where WWE rents a small theater type building instead of a major arena.
