While recent reports suggest that John Cena will be heading to SmackDown after the brand split, card advertisements suggest otherwise. As usual, this isn’t a sure thing and the card is always subject to change but the advertising for the shows after the draft do not show Cena on SmackDown cards. It should be noted that many of these advertisements are made months in advance and the decision to do the brand split was only made a few weeks ago.
Currently, advertising for the July 19th SmackDown, which is the first live show, includes a dark match main event between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins while Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Charlotte are also advertised. Tickets for the SmackDown the week after go on sale tomorrow (Saturday) in Buffalo, New York and has the same stars advertised along with New Day.
