Update – The Bobby Heenan Twitter Account Is A Fake – Details

UPDATE: Mean Gene Okerlund has commented on the fake Bobby Heenan account on his own Twitter page. He wrote:

A fan on Twitter who helped get it verified, replied with:

@TheGeneOkerlund I had the account verified. I got totally duped by all the WWE guys promoting it. I'm having Twitter remove blue check.

ORIGINAL: Wrestling fans rejoiced earlier this week when it was discovered that Bobby “The Brain” Heenan had arrived on Twitter. However, it turns out it was just someone trying to get attention.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that not only is the Heenan account a fake, but so is the account of Cynthia Heenan, his wife. The person behind the accounts joined Twitter as Cynthia in March, essentially maintaining a fake account for months just to verify another fake account later. The fake Bobby Heenan account was verified by the fake account from Cynthia.

The real Cynthia Heenan spoke with the website and confirmed that neither account is real, adding that it was “very sad” that someone would do that. If you want to help get the accounts removed from Twitter, you can report them both to let Twitter know.
