Thursday’s Set of NXT TV Tapings Unaffected by Hurricane Irma

While responding to a question on Twitter, Full Sail University revealed the next set of TV tapings for NXT will still go ahead as scheduled for this Thursday. The rest of the university will remain closed due to aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

Four live events originally scheduled for this and last week in Florida were previously postponed by the WWE due to the state of emergency declared for Hurricane Irma. One of those events was rescheduled for October 5th which is NXT’s return to the state for touring.


WWE Reveals Card for This Saturday’s Event in Japan

WWE recently revealed the entire card for this Saturday’s Smackdown brand event in Osaka, Japan. The card features seven matches headlined with Shinsuke Nakamura challenging champion Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship. RAW brand Asuka was also announced to be making an appearance on the show.

* WWE Championship Match – Shinsuke Nakamura vs. champion Jinder Mahal w/The Singh Brothers.
* U.S. Championship Match – Kevin Owens vs. champion AJ Styles.
* Last Man Standing Match – Randy Orton vs. Rusev.
* New Day vs. Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin.
* Naomi, Charlotte and Becky Lynch w/Asuka vs. Natalya, Tamina, Lana and Carmella w/James Ellsworth.
* Sami Zayn vs. Aiden English.
* Luke Harper vs. Eric Rowan.


Season 2 of GLOW to Start Filming Next Month

Filming for the second season of Netflix wrestling series GLOW is currently scheduled to start on October 16th, according to PWInsider.

PWInsider reported filming will be held in California and similar to the first season, it will be ten episodes in length. PWInsider also reported the show’s cast is currently scheduled to begin preparations and training for the new season starting next week.


Status of ESPN’s 30 For 30 Documentary on Ric Flair

As previously reported, ESPN is currently working on a new documentary for their 30 For 30 series focusing on the life and career of Ric Flair.

In an update to the status of this film, PWInsider reported ESPN is currently doing finishing touches for the documentary with plans to release it during the month of November. ESPN is also currently planning on holding an early screening for the documentary in New York City and are hopeful Ric Flair will be healthy enough to travel to the event.
