Rumor: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal to Get Big Focus for Wrestlemania 34

WWE is currently rumored to be putting a bigger focus on this year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, according to the Wrestling Observer.

There have been talks within WWE for this year’s Andre Battle Royal to be given a stronger push as part of the marketing hype for HBO’s upcoming documentary about Andre the Giant. Dave Meltzer also reported that there is a current belief within WWE that if the documentary gets a good rating and reviews for HBO, it could lead to more collaboration work with HBO and Bill Simmons on future wrestling-related projects.

As previously reported, WWF Coliseum Home Videos is currently scheduled to be the next classic series arriving to the WWE Network. WWE recently revealed the classic series will arrive on the Network on February 5th along with the listing for ten of the videos and the synopsis for the series.

Revolution Pro Wrestling recently announced on Twitter New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Minoru Suzuki will be appearing at their Wrestlemania weekend event on April 6th in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Joey Janela recently announced on Twitter that the main event for GCW Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 event will be Joey Janela versus The Great Sasuke. Similar to Revolution Pro Wrestling, this event will also occur on April 6th and in New Orleans.

New Japan Pro Wrestling has recently filed three trademarks in the United States, according to PWInsider. The trademarks are “Strong Style”, “King of Sports”, and “Strong Style Evolved” for clothing purposes. The trademark for Strong Style Evolved was also filed under a variety of purposes besides clothing merchandise.
