WWE has licensed content featuring Matt and Jeff Hardy’s “Broken Universe” in Impact Wrestling, according to PWInsider.
Though Matt Hardy now officially owns the trademarks to the names and gimmicks in the “Broken Universe,” the content that aired on Impact/TNA is still owned by Impact and WWE licensed it from them.
WWE is currently working on a WWE 24 episode and a DVD about the Hardys, so it’s likely that the footage will be used for those, but it’s also of course possible that WWE has other uses in mind.
WWE has been known to license content from other companies in the past, especially from Ring of Honor, using old material for specials on wrestlers like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, etc.
