Matt Hardy casually noted on Twitter that his WWE contract expires in 11 days and that he’s “100% comfortable” working outside of WWE.

Not a threat at all, just a fact. I have 11 days left on my current deal. I love @WWE, but I’m 100% comfortable being outside the walls of pro wrestling’s "Alexandria" Safe-Zone. I’m a born SURVIVALIST.
My previous tweet will NEVAH face DELETION.

Matt has been off of WWE TV since August to undergo treatment for various nagging injuries. While he was out, he was also trying out a potential backstage role and teasing a possible retirement, but he said last month that he’s “not going to be retiring anytime soon.”
He also said last month that he has been “physically greenlit” to return and that his body “is in the best shape it’s been in years.”
Matt and Jeff signed with WWE before WrestleMania in 2017. It’s not clear if this means that Jeff Hardy’s contract also expires at the same time.
