In an interview with WFAN radio in NYC on Friday, Jim Ross seemed to “spill the beans” on a still unannounced AEW TV deal, saying that a weekly live two hour show will debut on a “major network” in October.
Ross said:
It’s overwhelming for me, to be 67 years old and be anointed the voice of a brand that’s going to be debuting in October on national television on a major cable network that can’t be named now, but I can tell you it’s very exciting. And when people hear what network we’re going on they’re gonna be doubly excited cause it’s a network that we can all find.
He later added, “The weekly two hour live television show will premiere in October.”
In February, it was reported that AEW had two possible TV deals on the table, with “real money” proposals from well-known networks.
Ross signed with AEW earlier this week to be on their commentary team and a “senior advisor.”
