WWE: Zayn vs. Owens Match After SD, Sasha Banks Cancels TV Appearance

After SmackDown went off the air last night, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were scheduled to have a match. On the mic, Zayn convinced Owens not to fight him, but then insulted him, so the match was back on. The bell rang and Owens immediately hit Zayn with a stunner for the win, then hit him with two more stunners afterwards.

Sami tried to convince Kevin not to fight him. It worked. But he then insulted him. So KO came back and said since both were off Mania, they should be ready for a match. KO did a stunner right off the bat for the quick win. He then did two more stunners, well, just for fun! https://t.co/yGH1X4L3rW

Sasha Banks canceled a scheduled appearance on the Wendy Williams Show yesterday “due to personal reasons.”

According to Page Six, people at the show were “fuming” over the last minute cancellation.

The 27-year-old wrestler was expected to appear on the talk show Tuesday morning but bailed at the last minute. A source close to the show told Page Six that the unexpected cancellation left everyone fuming.

“She won’t be booked again,” the insider said. “She didn’t give a real reason for canceling, and she did it only hours before the show tapes, so production was left scrambling to fill her spot. Wendy ended up doing an extra segment of Hot Topics instead.”

On the show, Wendy Williams said, “our guest could not be here because she had a family emergency.”
