As noted before, Luke Harper requested his release from WWE this past April due to him wanting to go in a new direction for his career. Besides having his request rejected and time added to his contract due to injury, Vince McMahon has reportedly not been fond of Harper due to lingering issues involving past failed plans for him.
It was reported this week by PWInsider that Harper is expected to be back on the road for WWE shortly after not wrestling since April, but Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that that report may not be accurate. It was said that if it was true, it appears to be a secret since key people in WWE are not aware of any such plans. Meltzer also reported that those close to Harper have also not heard of that being the case.
Harper has reportedly been told nothing since the decision was made to not use him in April.
His WWE contract doesn’t expire until April 2020.
