TNT Currently Planning to Air Another AEW TV Special in October

TNT reportedly is currently planning to air another AEW television special on October 1st, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue that TNT officials had been working on plans to air a second AEW special ahead of the official debut of AEW’s weekly television series. It was also reported that TNT planned for this new special to air on the first Tuesday without WWE’s SmackDown and at a potential start time of 8:00PM ET.


More Classic WCW Thunder Episodes Arriving to WWE Network & New WWE Chronicle Preview

WWE will be uploading another batch of classic WCW Thunder episodes to the WWE Network this Monday, according to WWENetworkNews.com.

This new batch of episodes is currently expected to be around twenty in total and cover the time period of late June 2000 to late November 2000 in the series history.

WWE also recently released a preview trailer for this Sunday’s WWE Chronicle episode featuring Sasha Banks. This episode will air on the WWE Network following the end of Clash of Champions.


WWE and CMLL Talks Update

As noted before, WWE recently held talks with Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre regarding the potential for a partnership to be formed between both companies.

Planeta Wrestling reported (via Lucha Blog) that the recent talks between both companies were mainly focused around WWE being interested in acquiring the rights to CMLL’s tape library for the WWE Network’s upcoming expansion. This new version of the WWE Network will include a new premium subscription tier, which is expected to feature content from WWE’s partner promotions.
