WWE Reportedly in Talks with Indie Promotions for WWE Network

WWE reportedly has been in recent talks with some indie promotions in the United States regarding their WWE Network service, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is mostly interested in the tape libraries of these promotions to help supply new content for the WWE Network. Meltzer also reported that these talks are similar to the ones WWE held previously in regards to their plans for a new premium tier for the Network. It is currently not known if the company will still go through with their tiers plan due to Vince McMahon’s recent announcement regarding the Network’s potential future.

MVP’s WWE Status Update

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that MVP has been recently hired as a new backstage producer for WWE and is current transitioning into his new role.

Meltzer also reported that MVP might also continue being an on-screen personality with his VIP lounge segment albeit on a sporadic basis and not as a regular featured segment for RAW.
