WWE: NXT Talent Exempted from Twitch Ban, New Steve Austin Documentary, Wyatt & Bliss Update

NXT Talent Reportedly Exempted from WWE’s Third Party Services Ban

As noted before, WWE recently informed their talent that a new ban on outside third party services would be going into effect during the month of October. This ban included talent having to give up ownership of their Twitch and Cameo accounts to the company.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent episode of the List Ya Boy podcast that WWE’s newest ban and restrictions on Twitch only affects main roster talent and NXT talent are currently exempted from it. Sapp reported that this is the reason why several members of NXT’s roster, such as Adam Cole and Jessamyn Duke, were able to recently stream on Twitch under their current accounts with no changes made.

It is currently not known how long NXT talent will remain exempted from WWE’s newest ban on outside third party services.

New Steve Austin Documentary Currently in Production by “The Last Dance” Producers

Chris Van Vliet held a recent interview with Lillian Garcia. One of the topics discussed included Garcia revealing that a documentary based on “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is currently in production by the producers of the Michael Jordan “The Last Dance” documentary series.

“The producer from The Last Dance called me — Actually, WWE reached out to me first and were like, ‘The product from The Last Dance are going to reach out to you, they want you involved in a documentary.’ So, they ended up reaching out. We were currently watching [The Last Dance] as this is happening. When Jake [Rogal] reached out to me, I was like, ‘I’m literally watching your documentary right now, this is amazing.’ Come to find out, they want to do a documentary for Stone Cold Steve Austin and it’s coming out next year. They gave me the biggest compliment. They said, ‘your interview with Steve that you did on Chasing Glory was what made us realize that we wanted to do a different documentary. We never heard the story of him being so shy that he couldn’t order from Dairy Queen. To see what he’s become is so inspiring. You seem to have such a friendship with him, we want you in the documentary.’ That is amazing! I reached out to Steve, he knew they were going to reach out to me, and I was like, ‘Dude, this is so special.'”

Bray Wyatt & Alexa Bliss Face/Heel Status on RAW Update

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that despite the heelish nature of Bray Wyatt’s “The Fiend” character and the current on-screen relationship of Wyatt and Bliss’ new persona being similar to DC Comics’ The Joker and Harley Quinn dynamic, WWE officials currently consider both to be babyface characters for their RAW brand.

Johnson also reported that prior to the WWE Draft, WWE had plans for Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House character to be portrayed as a babyface star for their SmackDown brand.
