Jaxson Ryker Returns on WWE Main Event

Jaxson Ryker, who has been off of WWE TV since May, returned earlier today at WWE’s Main Event tapings.

Ryker was allied with Elias, apparently in a bodyguard-type role. In the segment, Elias came out with Ryker to perform a song, but they were interrupted by R-Truth, who said that he likes his own music better than Elias’s. The three exchanged words and that was that.

According to Fightful Select, the pairing of Elias with Ryker is seen as a “dry-run” to see if it works out.

Ryker’s old Forgotten Son teammates, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler also returned this past Friday on SmackDown, allying themselves with King Corbin and totally dropping the Forgotten Sons gimmick.

Ryker has been off of TV since a pro-Trump tweet on June 1 caused backlash by fans and wrestlers in WWE. During the height of Black Lives Matter protests and Trump threatening to shoot looters, Ryker tweeted, “Thankful for the @POTUS we have! God bless America. Built of freedom. Forgotten No More.” Later, an anti-Black Lives Matter post from 2019 surfaced from Ryker’s Facebook. “Pretty touchy subject but all this Black Lives Matter garbage baffles me. I challenge anyone of any color or race to go watch 12 years as a slave, the movie, and realize how good you all actually have it. Learn heritage. Christ, Gandhi, Buddha, they all taught love and caring for others. This is getting out of hand. I pray for this nation daily.”
