Following his release, Cutler responded on Twitter, stating that his release was “shocking” to him.
Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me.

Thanks for your continued support.
90 days… the countdown begins🍻🍻
Cutler had been with the company since 2014 and was primarily known for his tag team work with Wesley Blake in NXT and as a member of the Forgotten Sons on both NXT and SmackDown.
Cutler and the Forgotten Sons’ tenure on the main roster was negatively impacted by controversial statements made online by Jaxson Ryker, which led to the group being quickly taken off of WWE television. Cutler and Blake made their return to SmackDown this past December as members of King Corbin’s “Knights of the Lone Wolf” but were abruptly dropped as a group last month.
