More on Anna Jay’s Shoulder Injury

As noted before, AEW recently announced that Anna Jay suffered a shoulder injury while training and is currently expected to be out of action for six to twelve months.

Fightful Select reported that Jay suffered the injury “well over a month ago” and caused a change to be made for one of AEW Dark’s recent tapings.

It was also reported that AEW officials originally had hoped that Jay’s injury was not serious but made the decision for her to undergo surgery due to her recently aggravated the injury.


Dynamite Kid Episode Reportedly Filmed for Dark Side of the Ring Season 3

As noted before, a third season of the Dark Side of the Ring wrestling documentary series is currently in production for cable network Vice. Several episodes for this upcoming season have been confirmed or are rumored to be planned.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the series producers have filmed content for a planned episode based on the life and career of The Dynamite Kid, real name Tom Billington. Johnson reported that Billington’s first wife Michelle, their children, and his former sister-in-law Julie Hart were interviewed for this episode.

Johnson also reported that Vice will be airing a special related series titled Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential starting on March 8th. This new series reportedly will feature an overview of past and future episodes and will be hosted by Conrad Thompson.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Major League Wrestling reportedly are currently in talks for a potential new streaming deal, according to PWInsider. Johnson also reported that MLW officials are currently considering the idea of naming their potential new second television show “Aztec Underground.”

MLW announced that they have recently signed Leo Brien to a long-term contract with the company.

All Japan Pro Wrestling announced (English translation via F4WOnline) the full field of competitors for this year’s Champion Carnival tournament. They are Suwama, Zeus, Kento Miyahara, Shuji Ishikawa, Jake Lee, Yuma Aoyagi, Shotaro Ashino, Koji Doi, Kohei Sato, and Shinjiro Otani.

Beyond Wrestling reportedly will be debuting a new series called “The Signature Series” on February 25th, according to Sports Illustrated.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced a new match for the card of their Castle Attack Night 1 event on February 27th in Osaka, Japan:
