Batista Confirms He Won’t Be in This Year’s WWE Hall of Fame

Earlier this week, WWE stopped listing Batista as a WWE Hall of Fame inductee at this year’s ceremony and there were reports that he had been pulled from the event.

Batista has now confirmed that he won’t be inducted this year, saying that he can’t be at the ceremony because of “previous obligations,” but “by my request, they have agreed to induct me at a future ceremony where I’ll be able to properly thank the fans and people who made my career possible.”

Batista was originally announced for last year’s 2020 Hall of Fame Class, which will be inducted with the 2021 class this year. The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will stream on Peacock on Tuesday, April 6 in the US and on WWE Network elsewhere.
