WWE Releases Andrade

Andrade has officially been released by WWE, almost two weeks after he requested his release and it was initially denied.

WWE posted a message on their website saying, “WWE has come to terms on the release of Andrade. We wish him all the best in all of his future endeavors.”

Earlier tonight, Andrade posted, “Good news!!!! Buenas noticias!!! #Tranquilo #Happy” on Twitter:

He reportedly requested his release on Monday, March 8 and posted messages on social media about being unhappy in WWE like, “If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree.”

He first signed with WWE in 2015 and made his NXT debut in 2016. He was last seen on WWE TV on the October 12 Raw, where he lost a match to Angel Garza and was attacked by The Fiend afterwards.

WWE wrestlers who are released typically have 90 day non-compete clauses, so he likely won’t be able to sign or wrestle elsewhere for three months.

His former manager Zelina Vega was released by WWE in November.
