WWE: WWE May Have 45,000 Fans at WrestleMania, Issues With Dean Ambrose Trademark

WrestleMania 37 Tickets Update

As noted before, WWE announced that tickets for this year’s WrestleMania 37 event will officially go on sale starting on March 18. The company had been rumored to have up to 30,000 fans for both nights at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE officials held a meeting this past week and now have a new goal of trying to have at least 45,000 fans in attendance for each night of WrestleMania 37.

Meltzer reported that Tampa city government officials held a meeting with some local hotels on March 10th regarding the city’s plans for WrestleMania weekend next month. Hotel officials reportedly were told that WWE is pushing to have at least 75% capacity for both nights based on a maximum capacity of 60,000 following their stage design plans for the event.

WWE Files New Trademarks & Dean Ambrose Trademark Dispute

WWE recently filed several new trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

A trademark for “Franky Monet” was filed on February 15th for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes.

A trademark for “Subculture” was filed on March 8th for similar purposes.

A trademark for “Symbiosis” was filed on March 9th for similar purposes.

WWE’s trademark application for “Dean Ambrose” was recently given an initial refusal by the USPTO. One issue involved the trademark being vague on if “Dean Ambrose” is the name of a “living individual,” and the lack of written consent from Jon Moxley to file ownership for the name.
