William Regal is All Elite.
Regal made his debut tonight at the AEW Revolution PPV and has officially signed a contract with the company.
Following the Jon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson match at Revolution, the two began to fight each other after the match was over until Regal ran down and broke it up. He slapped Moxley in the face, then slapped Danielson in the face and made them shake hands, getting a huge pop. AEW commentary referred to Regal as a mentor for both Moxley and Danielson.
In a post-Revolution press conference, Tony Khan said that he expects Regal to have both an on-screen and behind the scenes role in AEW.
“I think he can contribute on-screen in a major way to both Bryan Danielson and also he has a history with Jon Moxley. Also, behind the scenes, I think Lord Regal can teach all of us a lot and it’s gonna be great to have him here on-screen and off-screen and I’m very excited. It came together very recently and it fits very well with what we’re doing here in AEW all around.”
