Four championships changed hands at the NJPW Dominion show earlier today in Osaka, Japan, which will seemingly have implications for the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door PPV on Sunday, June 26.
- IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Jay White defeated Kazuchika Okada (c) – Hangman Page called out Okada on Dynamite, saying he wanted a title shot against him. Adam Cole then said that he deserves the title shot, seemingly setting up a three way match. It appears that the new champ, Jay White may now be in the match instead.
- IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: Will Ospreay defeated SANADA – New US Champ Will Ospreay appeared on AEW TV last week.
- IWGP Tag Team Championship: Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb defeated Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale (c) – Cobb and Great-O-Khan have appeared on AEW TV recently, seemingly setting up a role/match for them at the PPV, which may now be for the IWGP Tag Team titles.
- NEVER Openweight Championship: Karl Anderson defeated Tama Tonga (c) – Anderson and Gallows have not appeared on AEW TV recently, so it’s unclear for now if they’ll have a role at the PPV.
