Brian “Road Dogg” James reportedly was recently hired to an executive position within WWE, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that James will be taking over Jeff Jarrett’s role as WWE’s newest Senior Vice President of Live Events.
Johnson reported in a separate report that it is currently not known when James will be starting his new job in the company but his sources stated that he will not be in attendance backstage during tonight’s RAW show in Toronto, Canada.
Prior to his hiring, James had previously worked as a member of WWE’s creative team, first for their SmackDown brand and later for their NXT brand. James was among those within NXT’s staff who were laid off by WWE in January of 2022. During his time away from the company, James had “begged” AEW CEO Tony Khan for a job in his company to no avail.
