Braun Strowman Reportedly Dealing with Serious Backstage Heat

Mike Johnson reported in a recent episode of the PWInsider Elite Audio that his sources stated that Braun Strowman is currently dealing with backstage heat within WWE.

Johnson reported that the source of this heat revolves around WWE officials being upset over their issues with Strowman having the habit of showing up late to work since his return to the company. Strowman reportedly also has developed the reputation of being someone who has the habit of leaving from shows early.

Strowman reportedly has also been developing a negative reputation within WWE’s locker room over etiquette-related issues. One source spoken to stated that Strowman is “his own worst enemy” and “his worst advocate.”

Johnson reported that these issues have gotten serious enough that it has caused WWE officials to reconsider their creative plans for him, which was something that was also an issue during his previous time in the company.

“They will be high on him [Braun Strowman] and just when he gets to the point where you would think the next step would be putting him into the centerpiece position for the company something happens and he makes some kind of misstep backstage and people within management kind of cool on him and they take a step back.”

WWE Crown Jewel 2022 News & Notes

WWE’s Crown Jewel 2022 event this past Saturday generated around 300,000 searches and a #9 ranking on Google for that day, according to the Wrestling Observer. Dave Meltzer reported that the amount of searches was above what WWE typically gets for a B-level or non-major event. Meltzer also reported that the only other WWE-related topic to rank in the Top 20 was Logan Paul, who ranked tenth for the night.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that a recent internal memo sent within WWE stated that this past Saturday’s event managed to surpass this past September’s Clash at the Castle event as the most watched international event in WWE history. This memo stated that viewership on NBC’s Peacock for this event was in the “seven figures.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that both WWE and Saudi Arabian officials were thrilled over the success of this past Saturday’s event.

As noted before, WWE’s signature intro video for this past Saturday’s event featured the return of Sasha Banks and Naomi in WWE’s signature intro video for the first time since this past May. Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that this was a mistake made by WWE’s production who had “just attached the wrong open to the start of the show” and not an indication of Banks and Naomi returning any time soon to the company. Monday’s RAW show confirmed that this was a mistake due to neither Banks nor Naomi were seen in the show’s WWE signature intro video.
